Does anyone know anywhere with X800PRO's in stock, which dont cost more than 280 GBP?

thanks.

i dont have time to check but try overclockers.co.uk, autdirect.co.uk, or novatech.co.uk

I want a frickin' X800XT but don't know where to get one.

what does that mean, i dont really understand

i think one has some but they were over priced, 310 ish :(

well im thinking of going for the x800 xt which will hurt my wallet a little bit more than the pro :|

what about the geforce blah blah ultra (newest one) what about this, i hear the fps etc is better than the x800's?

any ideas?

seems about the right price.
i went for the powecolor x800 pro at komplett, just hope i dont have to wait to long.

LoL mutt £296 isnt alot...your going to be hard done to trying to find a brand new highly wanted gfx card for less than that...

that isnt including postage
the one i got was 280 including postage.
to me thats quite alot :(

can someone gimme some feedback about my post on the last page about the geforce card please?

csw check out the toms hardware review, the x800 and new nvida are pretty much the same, each do better in different games.

Bio, i live in worcester, midlands, england.

Why dont you all buy it on www.ati.com, I belive its very cheap there.

I am going to buy an x800XT not a pro.

gsw, check the reviews, all that i found said the x800xt is best atm, im gona go with the x800 pro tho because of the price.(i have other things to buy) its gona be a while untill it needs upgrading,
the thing is, with these 3 cards, the differences are all pretty unnoticable to the human eye at this level, unless u feel the need to play in 304234 x 33024 res.
:P thanks for the replies

what reviews? which site? where is the reviews section?

sorry can't find what reviews you are talking about.

Afaik the x800XT is quite a useless buy and so is the ultra for the extra £100 (roughly) because the x800 PRO can be modded to an x800XT with some balls and the 6800GT isnt _that_ much slower than the ultra, it has 16 pipe lines, same memory, just the GT is clocked slower.

Im getting a 6800 because ive got an nvidia atm and its been very good, and the main game i play has issues with ati cards (alt tabbing brings a black screen) and nvidia will be best for doom3 which i dont think somehow will be one of them 250 fps at 2000x1600 ress openGL games. :p

Edit/ For GSW http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/geforce_6800_performance_and_overclocking/

The X800XT is very useful if you constantly do CPU upgrades. As it stands, the X800XT is still CPU bound which means you will actually get nice performance jumps if you upgrade your processor a year from now.

Modding the X800 Pro is a very rare thing, out of all the people who tried it maybe 10 have actually succeeded. So I doubt you can mod the X800 Pro. At least the X800 Pro can overclock like crazy.

I don't have any issues, alt-tabing with games and I am on my second ATI card. For me, Alt-tabbing is more dependent on the game than the graphics card.

As for Doom 3, Tom's Hardware did a special preview a while ago and at that time the 9800 Pro and the FX 5900 were already hitting 60 FPS on high quality. Even if they up the graphics quality for Doom 3 considerable, the X800 and the 6800 will still blow Doom 3 away.

:| Why do 9800XT's still cost $499!? I'm going to go to the local Fry's, CompUSA, or BestBuy to get a X800 XT. It should be shipping this Sunday, so stores should get it a few days later?

The X800XT is going to be an expensive and rare bird to find. Chances of you actually finding it in a store is going to be next to none.

It is starting to look like August/September before these next generation cards actually start appearing in large numbers. I really thought I would have buyers remorse after getting my X800 Pro. It is looking like the opposite.
