Alig said:The 6800GT is better than the X800 pro GSW...it does everything the x800 pro does, but better. Im getting this onehttp://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=300440&cks=PRL ...its overclocked as standard, has better cooling and keeps its warranty
Edit/ Although it costs £340 but nvm...
Bio said:Why dont you all buy it on www.ati.com, I belive its very cheap there.
I am going to buy an x800XT not a pro.
mutt said:gsw, check the reviews, all that i found said the x800xt is best atm, im gona go with the x800 pro tho because of the price.(i have other things to buy) its gona be a while untill it needs upgrading,
the thing is, with these 3 cards, the differences are all pretty unnoticable to the human eye at this level, unless u feel the need to play in 304234 x 33024 res.
thanks for the replies
Alig said:Afaik the x800XT is quite a useless buy and so is the ultra for the extra £100 (roughly) because the x800 PRO can be modded to an x800XT with some balls and the 6800GT isnt _that_ much slower than the ultra, it has 16 pipe lines, same memory, just the GT is clocked slower.
Im getting a 6800 because ive got an nvidia atm and its been very good, and the main game i play has issues with ati cards (alt tabbing brings a black screen) and nvidia will be best for doom3 which i dont think somehow will be one of them 250 fps at 2000x1600 ress openGL games.![]()
ailevation said::| Why do 9800XT's still cost $499!? I'm going to go to the local Fry's, CompUSA, or BestBuy to get a X800 XT. It should be shipping this Sunday, so stores should get it a few days later?
