I know for a fact Sony allows cross-platform multiplayer if the dev wants to allow it, for example UT3.

I'm not sure I can think of any 360 games with cross-platform multiplayer.. Did Shadowrun have it?

Also, if I worked for Gearbox Aliens: Colonial Marines would be out already!

Sony's got a much better idea here, and it's doubly good because they already have full Steamworks support. I don't know if it's necessarily good business sense to do so, but I can even envision Sony being a new SteamPlay partner. It'd be awesome to be able to buy, say, Fallout New Vegas and be able to play it on PS3 and PC. And come to think of it, the PS3 allows game mods too, right?

Sony does indeed do better, IIRC UT3 on PS3 can be played with a mouse and keyboard, just like Quake 3 on the Dreamcast could(Which also supported cross-platform MP by the way!)

Call of Duty: Black Ops for PC. Runs great after some config tweaks, but I get randomly disconnected from games and Steam when I play, so that kind of sucks.

It can't be punkbuster, Blops uses VAC. And I tried switching off the Steam Overlay, but it still happens It seems like it specifically occurs after I finish the first game in a server, load the second map, and play the second game for about a minute. I get disconnected from Blops and Steam, only to reconnect about ten seconds later, to join a new server and begin the process again.

Yeah apparently Budokai 3 is the best in the series so far. I played 2 for a bit on PS2 and it is indeed pretty fun. Not on the level of Smash Bros or SF4 but still.

Have you played the game? Its actually quite good for the series. Only one to get the wii controls right, all the other versions on ps2, etc aren't as good IMO(this is up until the 360 DBZ games, haven't played those yet).
