on my computer, it also says ~798, but i think its supposed to speed up when it needs to, i just cant tell when it does. i wish it would just run at 2.2ghz all the time

I have a 64bit cpu, the 3400+ and its supposed to run at 2.2ghz...and when I run HL2 or CSS, it says in the console, when i first connect to a server or something, that its 798mhz, and 1024 mb RAM....why isnt my cpu going as fast as it should be? I have the computer plugged into the wall, so...

a lot of those are dumb and i doubt hardly anyone uses them. i mainly just wanted the main couple that really help a lot and dont lower the game's visuals

these things called the game's engine, textures, scripts, all kinds of whacky stuff you must not know about...yeah they take up a lot of room. And Doom 3 was less disks because it came in pk4s, which were compressed a lot, and it obviously didnt have as big of an engine and textures and models...

I just reinstalled HL2, so I'm trying to remember the tweaks that most people do. All I thought of was -heapsize 512000 for the launch properties.

I wouldnt expect there to be a boxed version. They could probbly just make it a much smaller download (relatively) but not having to include the entire HL2 engine for us to run it. Know what I mean?

i dont see why people cant make individual levels that used to be in the beta. the zoom/shooting mod should be easy. and i want the gauss gun back :(

On my screen, it looks like theres a giant white splotchy blob, and I'm pretty sure that isnt supposed to me there. Its like...everything is ultrabright, but it looks like some kinda of design....help? It might be something with my laptop's video card, but I dunno what... yeah, and mine...
