At the bottom of that ladder there is a lock, left click it with the gravity gun, it will blow it off, then clime up. And if you need help from there show me pics. :)

uhm yeah that's the way... doesn tlook like you have shot that gate thingy open.. there is a lock on it.

Bloody hell, a simple lock?
Well why shouldnt my way work?
I stacked boxes and sh*t to get up!
Oh well, thanks guys! :)

lol ya, I stacked everything from a dresser to a Large Cabinet to a couple of barrels before realizing what needed to be done.

Its actually kinda wierd, by the time i was done my expert stack job, I was a good 3 or 4 feet above the top of the metal barrier, but i still couldnt climb the ladder..

Well in that case, it's a bug. Or Valve didn't think anyone would be so stupid as to actually stack stuff to get there...

I wouldn't call it stupid stacking stuff.. Valve would probably think it pretty cool people are already using the physics for things like that.

I did the same thing.. So it probably makes us stupid!
But also, Valve should have realized that even stupid ppl play there games..lol

So they should have make it so that you can stack things, and then climb the ladder! :)

Let me re-phrase that... :P

Valve were stupid for thinking no-one would think of stacking stuff to get there... ;)

i think it's because the 'hitbox' for the ladder (if same as hl1) is quite big (it'd go outside the cage) so you'd be able to climb even though the cage is there.

So when you shoot lock it opens gate and enables the ladder hitbox :)

dont think that theres so big (teh word is brush btw ^^) brush anymore... oh wait... ive... hey im actually making a map (lol :P) with a ladders in css aand the brush is very small... tho it was as small in hl1 too... soo the problem is not that...
