Wow, some great sceneries and photos, Monkey, must've been an awesome trip. Some pics could use some horizontal adjustments though (like the Sydney Opera or the lake reflecting the mountains).

The 5th one looks like a painting. :)

Yeah, it was aweshens.

I tried to adjust them in windows picture manager, but the quality suffered very much, so I didn't do it. You know a better way?

I use GIMP (the open-source alternative to Photoshop). You can spin the image however you want, then you just have to crop it, so it doesn't show the empty spaces left after spinning the rectangular image.

lostthesky, everything's gonna be OK.

Just step... away... from the graveyard.

She used to be ours but we decided to give her to a parrot refuge center a while ago :(
We still have two little quakers that we can handle though.

that first one is really nice, did you take that?

I think that was one my sister took that day.

And there were a bunch more like that, but I liked the god rays in that one best.

Went on a site visit last Friday to survey a farm in glorious sub zero temperatures (-6 all day....). However did manage to get some decent photos of stuff other than old sheds, and this one I'm particularly pleased with. Shot in RAW and then a bit of adjustment in Lightroom 2 (which I'm favouring over Photoshop/Camera raw plug in these days). Tones a bit twee, but pure B&W was too much.

Bulls rule.

^^ that's a pretty cool shot, I think the colors you have do work better than B&W.

Thanks

Hmm, this thread is pretty much dead nowadays. Maybe we need a new one so people aren't overwhelmed with over 400 previous posts :?

look at Image Dump and don't say dumb things
you get outdoors, u take the shot and post it here
it's THAT simple.
no need to read all the previous posts.

Woah, chill out comrade.

It's just that threads seem to be more active when they're new, even when they're an iteration.

Obviously it ISN'T that simple or else this thread WOULD be doing as well as the image dump. It's alot easier to grab a funny picture off the net then it is for someone to take an interesting photograph, and from looking through all the great shots in this thread it's obvious that these people aren't just taking shots for the hell of it.

(I have no problem with the image dump, by the way.)

I'll start posting in here soon but I haven't had much chance to get out with my camera recently because of college work. All my photography portfolio work is done and out the way so I've had no reason to concentrate on that media for a while.
