A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has had his military orders revoked after arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.

"As an officer in the armed forces of the United States, it is [my] duty to gain clarification on any order we may believe illegal. With that said, if President Obama is found not to be a 'natural-born citizen,' he is not eligible to be commander-in-chief," he told WND only hours after the case was filed.

"[Then] any order coming out of the presidency or his chain of command is illegal. Should I deploy, I would essentially be following an illegal [order]. If I happened to be captured by the enemy in a foreign land, I would not be privy to the Geneva Convention protections," he said.

If that's true then the people involved are wasting a huge amount of time which this country needs to spend getting its sh*t back together. If I were religious I could at least take solace in knowing that a special level of hell was safely allocated to receive these people later.

I mean... would they be putting up this fight, or have any credible reason to in their mind, if he were just some white dude? It can't be a reason of, "well, we have reason to believe because of... blah blah blah" since we do have his birth certificate. It is legitimate. His birth was announced in the newspaper of the time, giving absolutely no reason for people to believe he is not American Born.

While race plays a big part, I don't think that is the sole reason for their motives. These people just plain hate "liberals" since all liberals are baby killing, terrorist loving, pot smoking loons. Look back to the Clinton era. There was a conspiracy that Bill Clinton was secretly ordering the deaths of people he didn't like. Even as absurd as it sounds, I know a lot of people who believe it. We also have to consider that these people are, as Raziaar suggested, racist. Not hardcore, but just a little.
