Can anyone connect to a steam related product right NOW?!?

Everytime I go to http://www.steampowered.com/forums/ it says "vBulletin Message
The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later."

And I launch a fresh install of Steam, it takes like 2 mins to bring a window saying "Updating" then it sits there for a few more mins and says "cant connect"

I try this at all hours of day and night same deal..it cant be THAT busy non stop? jesus christ.........

Hmmm, my steam has worked fine for the last few days, it took it a while to authenticate the cd key because steam servers were busy but its been fine since.

Try breifly turning off your firewall untill steam has connected then turn it back on when you're in. Always worked for me.

Well i bit the bullet today and bought the silver package and have been DL HL2 for the last 7 hours, just another 4 to go......and it seems to be DL at a constant rate without any problems.....Although i have not been able to access the forums all day......Hopefully it will alll be ready when i get back home from work in the morning....
