I love Walmart

I don't want to be offensive to overweight people but I want to discuss this further.

I could never get fat. I'm very picky and missed many meals because of it -- still. I get full and then I don't want to eat anymore. I'm not sure how anyone could bypass that little catch that tells you you're full. Personally, it makes me physically sick to eat too much.

While I'm sure it doesn't help, it can't be diet alone. I used to live off fast food, TastyCakes, Pizza, Cheese, Bread, Potato chips, Resse's peanut butter puffs cereal with whole milk and honeybuns until I realized ...that shit is actually killing me. All kinds of fatty foods and carbs is all I ate. Never in my life gained a pound from it past adulthood anyway.

I have to intentionally try with all my might to gain weight, and I lose it if I become inactive. I don't get fat like other people who are inactive. I don't understand that honestly. How can you eat a lot if you don't do anything? I can't even get an appetite to eat 3 healthy meals if I sit in my chair all day.

If it isn't just in the genes, then I don't understand how anyone could ever become fat unless they had parents that force them to finish meals or something.

Something I've read from a few credible sources is that your body will try to maintain the weight you were at when you were about 18. So if you were fat when you were about 18, then your body will try to be fat for the rest of your life. If you were too thin, then you will have trouble gaining weight. Don't know, but it seems to be true as far as I can tell.

And I got to say, that eating at McDonald's for a living is one hell of an expensive way to eat. I can make delicious, healthy food for 2 bucks a meal. If you want cheap-ass shit that's still got complete proteins, carbs, and fats that you need I can do it for 60 cents.\

It's a matter of education, and if parents don't teach it they don't learn.

Indeed, and metabolism certainly plays a role. Also some people are just hyper or have a lot of nervous habits like tapping fingers and shaking or swinging their legs when sitting or whatever. Burns calories.

I can't sit still for more than a few seconds personally. If you are ever required to stand in one place a lot at work, don't you think that shit sucks? Your feet start to hurt right away -- you become too conscious of aches and pains or something. I like to be moving. It's good for your circulation.

A lot of people in my extended family seem to be fatasses, and it's pretty easy for me to gain the bad kind of weight, too.

I live in this relatively small town where Walmart practically dominates the place. Everybody shops there, so I'd say this is a disturbingly accurate portrayal.

People who have a hard time gaining fat also have a hard time gaining muscle which is why they generally steer clear of weightlifting.

Yeah, that's me. I only gain weight if I do something like backpacking where I'm eating 4000 calories a day and I'm carrying a heavy weight for miles.
 
I have a bad habbit of getting high as **** and then eeating compulsively for the rest of the entire day, yet my weight's sat at a solid 152 pounds and hasn't drifted up or down more than a few pounds at a time since sophomore year.

Metabolism and an active lifestyle ftw.
 
iirc the whacky tabacky increases the metabolism too. Though this seemed more like baked mental masturbating than factual discussions, at the time.
