*DoG pulls gordon out of the ground*

I would ask Barney why the hell is he giving a crow-bar to defend myself when he could easily be giving me something much more affective to defend myself with such as: A gun, or maybe a stun stick. He is a cop after all.

Ha! I'd be pissed too after being told by the G-Man on Xen that I can keep my suit... only to be woken up from Stasis some 20 years later... feeling violated... suit nowhere to be found... in some unknown location... and being talked to by a rather creepy. G-man probably went to town on poor Gordon while he was out cold.

Actually, I would think it's because CP gear is monitored, and it would blow his cover for him to have one less gun. Crowbars aren't officially monitored.

Nope, remember, when he complained about his alarming crowbar shortage he was way behind on his beating quota. The Combine wasn't giving him any new crowbars as a punishment for that, and he had no time to go fetch them because he needed to beat some people or he would've been beaten himself.
