Japanese bug fights!

Watching living beings suffering is not my hobby but this thing is quite fascinating...

Holy shit, that's like, the coolest thing ever. The hercules kicked ass

Kinda cruel tho

Heh, an ad in the video showed up for Fort Worth pest control.

"Uhhh yeah... I have about a dozen stag beetles and scorpions in my house and it looks like things are about to get nasty! I need someone over here quick!"

Ugh, I can't watch anymore, too much of the creeping and the crawling and the multiple legness

Scorpions suck at fighting. :(
In one video it killed a tarantula, 2 stings. Can't say I agree with what this guy has done though, I mean some of these things are quite big bugs, some of which would be pets to some people, not cannon fodder D:

The Tarantula didn't have a carapace, which made it susceptible. Also, if it the scorpian kind find a weak spot like in the blue crab thing match, where it stung a spot near it's eye..
I mean, it's not like humanity does this same thing every 10 years or so.. on a much bigger scale, but still.
Oh, and round 10 was pretty epic.

I'd rather see battles.
Like, 50 carpenter ants against a few bigger bugs.
Epic.

Edit: 27 is such an unfair fight.

The Hercules beetle didn't have the slightest chance against that tarantula in fight #12. The Hercules beetle pwned the scorpions though.

My fav so far is round 15 with the wasp and scorpion. It's a clean match up, Wasp has a powerful jaw and swiftness and is noticeably smaller with little armor, compared to the scorpion. The scorpion having more weaponry enabling a mix up of defense and offense, claws and stinger and has hard armor on top. The fight started out really intense until both bugs realized that the other is a formidable opponent. The Wasp took the more offensive role(had to since his main attack requires to close into the enemy) I was fascinated that it used the tactic to take out the scorpions main threat; it's tail. After it's tail was useless the match was made and of course the wasp came on top.

Blergh, made me sick at first but some of the fights are pretty cool. What the hell is that thing going against the tarantula in 26?

If I had broadband I'd be watching this right now. By any chance, is there any videos of ants and termites?

Nope, mostly big things. Plus a few crabs, I think.
The millipede(?) battle was epic. I think it had died. XD
Guess it hadn't. It has poison?

And ailevation, who knew there was so much SCIENCE in bugfighting?

Aww man, it got suspended. Likely it saw it was getting so much attention and the INTERNETS POLICE saw it and got mad. :(

Sounds like a plan, figures someone would come along with a PETA parrot on their shoulder.

Hi, I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline MSNBC.
Could you have a seat over there so I can have a talk with you?

Though I disapprove of animal suffering and blood sports, the fight between the praying mantis and the hornet was really awesome. The hornet pretty much owns all the other bugs because of its speed, poison, and ability to fly.

Man, it doesn't become funny when I have to explain it.

"To Catch a Predator," Ace. "To Catch a Predator."
