How is Planetside these days? I played the beta way, way back. It was fun, but infantry combat was kinda clunky and it quickly became a very repetitive game of just capturing bases.

In a word: no. The game still sucks.

It took a couple of patches, but yes. Great gameplay if you're into it. It's quite slow, but very tense. Sneaking up on an enemy battlegroup, firing a couple of fishes and then disappearing again can take more than an hour if you don't use time compression. You'll be on the edge of your seat the whole time though. And it all looks fantastic. Mind you, there is quite a learning curve and the tutorial isn't fantastic.

Epic thread indeed - too bad none of my pics are working.

I only played SH4 on my crap computer (not my new one) so it was a chore just to maintain a framerate of 5 for most of the time. I have considered reinstalling it though.
