Post a screenshot!

The crouching doesn't really become an issue until the final Marine mission when your fighting androids and could do with being able to take cover. It's not a massive issue though. I prefer the new vent system for the alien, it enables you to make an escape from quite a way away. It's not an issue in multiplayer as there are no vents in multi.

...And this is a good thing?
The more I keep hearing about this game, the more I keep weeping for the AVP series.

I never said there are no tight tunnels or passageways for the alien to take advantage of, just that there are no vents that require you to have to press a button to enter. Weep all you want, I'm waiting for the sequel.

When will it stop being $50? I don't have $50 for mediocrity. Monolith let me crouch and had biting through a dude's chest in first person as a burster--creative brutality > gore porn. Yet I'd still like to experience this gore porn for a more reasonable $5-$30 price range, where it rightfully belongs.

It was on Sale on Steam for a week not long ago, you should have gotten it then.

I thought max settings would have this game looking badass. It actually almost seems a little worse than xbox's. The draw distances on Felucia were horrible. Great game though.

Ouch. It looks so.....flat. No dynamic lighting or anything.

Yeah, it seemed so awesome when it first released, but now... I almost feel like I got ripped off.

Battlefront II, to be specific.

I love this map so much. It's xbox huge.

Is basically what he is saying.

What Im saying is its a stupid comment to say the graphics are fine, because they display basic textures.

People dont pay $50-60 plus a subscription fee so they can see flat graphics and no dynamic lighting in their games.

Err... thats not SWG if thats what you are thinking. It's Battlefront II.

...What?
It's been out for like 5 years, it's $20 now and there's no monthly fee.

Are you an idiot?

5 years, really?

I looked at the website and the only date references was release date, and a couple expansions...no mention of year.

Speaking of expansions, I wonder if they released the map expansions for Battlefront II on steam. The normal game doesn't have the Battlefront 1 maps. :0

PC users never got them officially, but some modders/mappers ported them over in a nice big package.

Be sure to get the patch otherwise you're guaranteed to crash often.

Dude, you are thinking of the wrong game. You're thinking of Star Wars Galaxies.

This is Battlefront II.

Stop making me want to reinstall it for the 3rd time this year.

I'd probably keep it installed if I had a bigger hd. :(

I just had to buy an external for that exact purpose.

Playing ArmA 2 with Raz and Viper.

On the way to the insertion point, Raz is looking pissed off and ready to kill some terrorists.

After we arrived and started engaging, we were soon pinned down and I took this opportunity to notice a very shiny sheep.

I downloaded the demo to see if I could run it, but as soon as I started it up, BAM, 50 minute update.

*currently going*

Man, I'd love to play a good immersive game of Arma2. If I play it, I just dick around in the editor a bit. I've tried to do multiplayer in pubs, but that shit sucks.

I need a better comp to run ARMA2.:(

I have the cash to buy one but I dunno, I'm more conservative with my money these days.

Would love to have you guys join us.

Starting up a blackhawk at base, Raz and Viper as gunners on the sides. We're going to airlift that Styker you can see next to us to our target town.

On the way to the target. Note that in this shot I forgot to set my viewdistance to 5000m, right now it's just 1500.

Edit: Viper took some shots from another mission, this time in a server

Here's Raz, equipped with a gas mask and carrying a stretcher on his back.

If you're wondering why the scope on his m249 is so huge, it's a special FLIR scope, which is basically infrared. He can see heat with it.

Viper flying an MH6 Little Bird (straight into some enemy targets it seems, judging by his radar)

Yup, he got shot down.

When we finally get around to actively try making decent shots, we'll post better ones. Basically, whenever we try and film/screen something, it ends up falling short. Whenever an awesome session gets under way, we get so involved we always forget to start recording.

And the stretcher pic is totally in jest. We thought it was hilarious you could carry that thing around.

I wish I was frapping that battle where all the RPG rounds were blasting near us, pinned behind that building as it was destroyed in several stages.

Sounds awesome. Too bad ARMA 2 ain't coming out here. :(

What do you mean?

Can't you buy it digitally? Either on Steam or Sprocket.

Surely you don't mean a localized version? I can't imagine why you'd need that.

Well, buying games on Steam is actually too much of a hassle:

I don't have a foreign credit card like Visa or American Express. I can't legally own them either because I don't (officially) have any (taxable) income and I'm under 24 years of age. So, I need to get a buyer or some guy who has the means to procure said products, and have him send it as a gift to me for my Steam account. Unfortunately, they are hard to come by, charge extra, and sometimes are actually con artists.

I downloaded the demo earlier. All of the movements felt really delayed. Like a half second behind my actual hand movements. Don't know if it's the demo or my pc. Looked fantastic, but that game delay was awful.

I'm not going to be trying to get these people into the game, because I don't want to be responsible for the inevitable disappointment.

It always happens... it's not fun. I'm thrilled with the games, but it won't be the right cup of tea for everybody.

Wait, the movement delay always happens?

Wait, the movement delay always happens?

No. That's not what I was saying.

What exactly do you mean movement delay? I usually find it fairly responsive. I mean, it's not like an FPS, but it also shouldn't be delayed really.

Viper and Vegeta will have to pipe in on that.
