Post a screenshot!

MMM I want to play, still got 5G to download though, so maybe tomorrow.

I want to play but I reckon I still have 20 hours of FO3 left, then Fable 3 on Friday.:(

Why in the world you play -or replay- Fallout 3 before you go on to New Vegas. From what I've played you should only play 1 and 2, plenty of references to those and none to 3.

Basically, a while back I bought all the Fallout 3 DLCs(Yes, I know, I'm an idiot) but never got around to playing it after having done so, now a week before F:NV was due out I started a playthrough of FO3 to make sure the money on the DLCs weren't completely wasted(I.e. I actually played through them), so yeah.:(

And now there's Fable 3 and CoD:Black Ops around the corner too! Damnit I hate when I get myself "lagged" behind like this in my gaming schedule(Yes, I actually try to schedule my gaming if possible.)

Also, part of me not playing NV before I finish this playthrough is because I am certain once I play NV I will never be able to go back to play 3, seeing as I loved the original Fallout games a lot more than 3 and NV was done by mostly the same team that did 1/2.

The DLCs were great purchases. Added more content to an already great game. As for not being able to go to FO3 after this, I think I could. This one isn't completely different.

Started a game of NV today, spent three hours alone in Goodsprings, next time I play I'll be heading out. Pretty fun so far. Only issue is really bad frame rate when there are a few people around, other than that I haven't really encountered any issues.

Here are some screenshots from my playthrough of the mission "Occupation" from the Red Hammer campaign in Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. It was a pretty long mission in which my squad has to clear several towns and bases of rebel forces. Initially I was under my Sergeant's command, but I was forced to take command over the squad when he gets called away on another assignment.

The Area of Operations on the map, Everon's northern peninsula:

The intro cinematic gives a preview of the objectives I have to take:

Here's me at the base camp in Tyrone, listening to one of the fellas humming "Katyusha".

And here's a parked BMP-1 armored personnel carrier, one of the vehicles that was involved in the landings the previous day. It's a very versatile vehicle, equipped with a 73mm smoothbore cannon, coaxial machine gun, and an anti-tank missile launcher. It's amphibious, and seats eight passengers (in addition to the three crew). Since someone was silly enough to leave it unlocked, I come back to pinch it after I'm granted command of the squad.

The BMP, though it had very little ammunition left, made it quicker and easier to assault the various objectives. I had a few close calls with enemy RPG men almost getting a shot off at me before I annihilated them. I alternated between commanding the BMP and leading the squad on foot, depending on the situation. Here, we've just wiped out a camp in the forest. There are two of them and if you don't deal with them, the occupants sometimes leave and roam around in areas you've previously cleared, which can be a real headache.

At one of these camps, I took a prisoner and beat him for information on his friend's whereabouts. He wouldn't talk, so I executed him with my Makarov. Hey, this is the Soviet army after all. :D

The last objective was the toughest, held by a full squad of infantry and a T-55 tank. By this time the BMP's ammunition supply was completely exhausted, so we proceeded on foot. I had already lured the T-55 out by firing the BMP's missiles at it, so we waited in ambush and finished it off with our RPGs. I had my machinegunners set up on the runway and fire at the occupied buildings, while I took the rest of the squad and sneaked along the left flank, just below the horizon, invisible to the airport defenders. With suppressing fire from the machinegunners keeping the enemy busy, we assaulted their flank and took the airfield with only two casualties. Incredibly, while all that was going on, some crazy civilian was taxiing onto the runway in a Cessna, as bullets whizzed by all around. He made it through the mayhem unscathed and took off successfully.

The debriefing:

The other three casualties took place earlier. Two before I was granted command (my AI leader was a bit careless) and a third during a firefight in the forest. Things got pretty hairy for me, also, and I was shot at several times but miraculously avoided being injured at all for the entirety of the mission.

Ah, gotta love OFP.

Are you using some kind of graphical replacement mods? Those models don't look quite like I remember.

Also you should play Arma 2 with us :)

Red Hammer was very mediocre, but then again Red Hammer was made by Codemasters themselves IIRC; rather than BIS.

Yep! The new units are from Sanctuary's WW4 project, but it's not strictly a unit replacement mod, I just edited the official campaigns and single missions to use different units and weapons. It was a lot of effort but I wanted to do it that way anyway, especially since I was already editing the CWC campaign to make it more compatible with ECP.

Also you should play Arma 2 with us :)
I own it but have hardly played it, I'm kind of stuck on the atmosphere of the first game, I guess. If I get into Arma in the future I'll take you up on that. :)

I agree, which is why I didn't bother doing my unit replacement rejig for the whole RH campaign, I just converted a few of the missions I liked best (including "Occupation") to behave as single missions.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2
No, this isn't a pirated copy. My order from Game came early.

Looks beautiful. A shame they used such amazing technology on a lackluster game. I still wonder what a new Jedi Knight game couldve been like with DMM and Euphoria.

Did you decapitate that poor stormtrooper?

Life's hard man :( I hope things will get better for you soon.

There's a file floating around for anyone with the pc version of Force Unleashed 2 that you place in the same folder as the main .exe and run which unlocks the game from it's 30fps cap.

Get it here:-

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9847189/60FPS.exe

It works and is not a modified game .exe so it's perfectly legal.

I looked at the spoiler ending for the game.

Not detailed
Another goddamn cliffhanger

Yeah. From what I've read this is supposed to be "the dark entry in the series", which pretty much meant "This is going to be a trilogy/we are going to milk the shit out of this".

Also heard rumors that a new Star Wars film trilogy may be surfacing with Galen Marek aka Starkiller as the center of it.

I don't know if these have been posted before, or if the forum is even aware of this upcoming game's existence, but behold the graphical porn that is Assault Horizon.
Spoiler'd because the images are big, but you need to take in all the hi-res glory.

Ridge, IL-2 1946 I presume? What campaign you playing?

Will be interesting to see how Storms of War: Battle of Britain turns out.

Yeah, 1946 with the Ultr@ Pack 2.01 addon. Just doing some quick combat, P-47s vs Ju88s...that is an AI plane. I had to break away back to home base after I collided with one of the bombers and lost my vertical tail. Still landed successfully, though :D
