Me and my faithful Ant Lions (well at least me) manage to make it across most of the beach as the machine guns pepper the sand and the water. Then, as soon as I attempt to round the point past what (I hope) is the last pill box, I am forced into the water and get eaten by some hostile bunch of white fish...

Looking for some hint on what works.

You should never actaully go in the water. I went up and killed all the soldiers in the pillboxes. When you get to the end there should be a big cliff thing with 2 MG posts. Go up there from the last pillbox oppisate the water.

yeah you need to head up the beach when you get to that point...I did the same mistake first time around...

Hmmm, at the first pill box I did that exactly and quite successfully killed the gas-mask-wearing baddies quite effectively, turned off the alarm and then proceded to silence the pounder. The problem for me comes with the first high bunker, there does not appear to be any way to get into the bunker with the soldiers and the force fields do a pretty effective job of protecting them from frontal assault.

Maybe it is a logic thing... I am 55 years old and even with my many years of expience carrying real guns, operating and commanding attack helecopters, tanks, infantry, and a host of other exciting and relatively deadly things and people, once in a while this game just baffles me but you guys seem to blow through it in a relatively few hours!

The very last pillbox wraps around to another exit that leads to 2 or 3 more stations.

hehe..although you're past the point...next time keep in mind that you have an unlimited supply of ant-lion pheromones(sp?) and ant-lions at your disposal...simply use the antlions as cannon fodder, throw a pheromone ball one direction and sprint in the other direction from cover to cover...
