Worlds Cheapest Car will probably revolutionize the auto industry but only overseas. This car will not be used in the US because of ****ing restrictions.

I'd buy one here if they were allowed because right now as we speak my freakin Ford is being repaired.

How will the nano revolutionize the auto industry? It's simply a really cheap car. It's not like it's super advanced or anything. It's just more affordable. The last thing we need is more polluting cars on the road, honestly.

And the restrictions on them in the USA are a very good thing. The nano is a ****ing cheap car and it is incredibly dangerous as it lacks so many critical safety features, especially when you pit it in accidents against heavier cars. You'll be lucky to survive in a crash with one.

90,000 people are killed each year due to auto accidents in India. That number might likely sharply rise as huge numbers of new vehicles are put on the road, and the severe lack of safety features on the vehicle.

The Times said:
India has 8 per cent of the world’s vehicle fatalities and less than 1 per cent of its cars, with more than 90,000 people killed on the country’s roads every year. Introducing a million Nanos into the mix may bring more – and unwelcome – headlines.

no I wouldnt purchase one. what safety standards has it passed? it could never come to north america because of this. they'd have to re-engineer the whole thing as it doesnt pass north america standards

No. Why?

1.) You would die if you hit anything.
2.) It's ugly as sin.
3.) Cheap =/= quality or revolutionary.

its a car that drives....that's it. there aren't any other features in the car.

I would buy one here if it passes EU regulation. However if it does come here i'm sure it would cost a couple grand more.

I think it would be awesome for people tired of car pooling. i would buy it so i didn't have to be the DD for more than 2 people or if your in Australia 3 children and a wife

Hell no. Thing is way too expensive for what it is. Its basically a go-kart.

Kool.

Shame most cars are insanely inflated in price above what it costs to make them.

Its basically a go-kart.

Today's Top Gear Top Tip: If you want to buy a Tata Nano....buy a go-kart instead.
