Right.. this is going to be a bit long winded as last night out of the blue I started getting a series of worse and worse errors with my PC. Ok I only built this thing 3-4 months ago and ive had no problems til now, but last night Id had it on for 1-2 hours not doing allot just looking at...

Ive had my old 19" CRT for about 5-6 years now and I figured it was time for something new so does anyone have any suggestions? Im looking to spend no more than £5-600. And while im asking questions does anyone know if the new PhysX card is going to be worth bothering with?

Currently it looks like Im not gonna have the funds to go PCI-E any time soon so im thinking about gettin a new AGP card to tie me over til next year. MY question is is there a big enough difference between these two cards for it to be worth my spending nearly 300 quid, or should I just stick it...

The first betas are out there, but they only run on certain HL patchs (I forget which) cant use the base game but you cant use a too newer patch.. or even a fairly old one now o.O CS went tits up for me around the time they changed all the HL netcode.

The x800 XT supports SM 2.0b Oblivion only allows HDR on cards that use SM 3.0.

ok for some weird reason setting it to run in Win 2000 compatability mode solved the problem, although there are many many things that causes it to crash - buggy game. :/

Just got San Andreas for the PC, installed everything ok but when I come to try run it I get a brief black screen the it goes back to Desktop... Im on Windows XP Home (SP1) and graphics card is x800 XT PE using cata 5.5s, DirectX 9.0c help :<
