Spaceballs - 10/10

Fan-****ing-tastic. I found my old Spaceballs DVD watched it again.. It's so god damn good.. For those of you who don't know, it's a Star Wars parody from the 80's by John Candy, Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, and I think EVERYONE should watch this.. I haven't seen it in so long..

They've gone to plaid!

Dragon Ball Evolution

From the perspective of someone who doesn't know the story: 5/10

The story was relatively cliche...boy likes girl, boyfriend is a dick, so she feels sorry for the good guy, boy gets girl in the end. The fight scenes were pretty meh, but at least there were a couple of jokes in there that made me laugh. All in all, a relatively sub-par movie that I am glad I didn't go out of my way of seeing.

From the perspective of someone who DOES know the story: 0/10

WTF HOW CAN HE TRANSFORM WITH THE ECLIPSE AND NOT THE ****ING FULL MOON!?!?!? Where is his tail? Why is Chi-Chi a pro at Martial Art? Why isn't Roshie an old man? Why does Bulma have a degree in Tactical Firearms? She used guns ONCE that I remember, and she dropped it after shooting Goku once. The Kamehameha is a joke. Lighting candles? Shit, I remember him destroying many Red Ribbon Army ships with his first attempt at it! King Piccolo used the mighty Oozeru *or however they spelled it* to help take over the world. Why the shit was there a Sayan on Earth prior, and why wasn't it destroyed/sold?

That's all I can remember off of the top of my head.
Don't forget reviving someone with a Kamehameha to the chest.

Watching the fight scenes I expected to see wires if I squinted.

One of the funniest (Arrested Development is funnier). Season 1 and 2 is brilliant but season 3 and onwards is terrible.

lolwut?

Pulp Fiction - 10/10

Awesome. :D I loved it. I watched it for the first time yesterday, and... woah. Proof that you don't need elaborate CG to make a good movie. It wasn't really my type of movie (crime, etc.) but I cannot disagree with its awesomness.

Terminator Salvation. Every element that comprises Terminator Salvation is terrible/10

The Thing 9/10

Thank you for the recommendation.

Wait- Wha- Wow. You make it sound as if it was a general belief that you need CG to make a good movie :O

Anyway, great movie, agreed.

Well, it certainly seems like that's the case now with Hollywood directors, with all those Hollywood movies with 90% CG and 10% Actors. :p

Oh right, the Kamehameha revives people, kills people AND lights candles. Shit yeah.

500 days of Summer 8/10

Fairly charming in many ways and with the ever excellent Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a love struck Office drone and Zooey Deschanel as the standoffish object of his affections. It lays it on a bit thick at times, but if you like the sort of dry humour of a Wes Anderson film (like me), then you'll probably like this. Better than I was led to believe, and with some nice musical references (esp the Pixies).

Knowing - 3/10

**** you you retarded piece of shit.

The only part that was good was the explosions and the Emergency broadcast system. Yep the "BEEP BEEP BEEP THIS IS THE EMERGENCY BROAD CAST SYSTEM" is better than the rest of the movie.

Changeling - 8/10

Good movie. I don't know what to say. I understand why it's rated the same as soft-core porn though.

Edit: To explain, it's not a movie that you'd want kids or juveniles to see. It's not exactly violent, nor is it sexual. The problem lies in the message that it (unfortunately and probably without meaning to) conveys.

I forgot all about that movie, I need to see that D:

An advance screening of The Lovely Bones: 9/10

Very beautiful, surreal film. And Saoirse Ronan is stunningly beautiful.

I watched Me You And Everyone We Know which was quite excellent, Junebug which was quite good, and Matilda which was just horrible, but Samon will ban me if I say that so I'll say that it was great.

Kite Runner

7.5/10

I thought this was a good movie. A unique take on Afghanistan.

I actually felt bad for Nicholas Cage for playing in that movie.

With his hairstyle, I wonder how he walks out of his door thinking 'Yeah, I look good'.

Seriously. I know he has a bit of a receeding hairline these days, and long hair is...kinda cool in a biker way, but to then hack it all off in a straight line just above the ear? Yikes.

Surely he must have enough money these days to get a decent stylist.

He's got some good films under his belt though.

Back on track:

2012 - 6/10

Too much Hollywood influence.

Yes everything that happens in it is completely possible, and probable for that matter, but dont throw in cheesy joke lines (like when he reverses into the Porsche for example). And dear god am I getting annoyed at how earthquakes and explosions always happen RIGHT BEHIND the main characters as theyre running/driving/flying away.

Its like someone's just constantly miss-timing the charges on the explosives.

And theres no connection with the characters, as the destruction starts happening too soon for you to care.

The Day After Tomorrow was better as you could relate.

But still, most of the movie for me was spent thinking how fine Amanda Peet is.

Perhaps you haven't seen his track record. National Treasure, Ghost Rider, Gone in 60 Seconds, etc. I don't think he's been in a good movie since before 2000.

Matchstick Men was very good.

As was Lord of War, Adaptation, and World Trade Center - but we won't mention those.

I agree, I didn't say it was good or very good I literally meant it was just ok

NO, YOU MEANT WHAT HE IMPLIED YOU MEANT STUPID.

Gone in 60 Seconds is awesome.

I don't even care, and I'm not going to argue it with LOGIC or REASON. Gone in 60 Seconds is awesome and you will think so too through the sheer force of my will.

Nic cage stoped acting at the hight of his career. A shame he stared in a number of movies after that.

Can't remember where I heard that line. It's fitting...

I've never seen gone in 60 seconds and I just don't care how about that one? :|

HOLY SHIT MAN. You're so ****ing INDIFFERENT to this conversation you're NOT INVOLVED IN that you have to make a POST just to expess HOW MUCH YOU DON'T CARE. I can't even look at you directly or your coolness might blind me.

Never. I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed, your highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me.

Samon never told you what happened to your father...
