Absolute Power - 2/10

Wow, for a film with Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman and Ed Harris in it, this was shoddy as all hell - horrible plot, bad acting and direction... It made me sad because I always heard good things about Eastwood's attempts at direction and I assumed it would be great, plus I like Clint too so I wanted it to be a decent way to spend the evening. It wasn't. The turning point where I realised I was watching a POS was when the Chinese waiter with comedy broken english had a distinct american accent. The 2 points come from the first half hour where there's barely any dialogue and the shitness is still only a vague possibility.

Signs 93/100
It was great and all ... but i just cant shake the feeling that something is missing...

The Bucket List - 8/10...

Hilarious.

The Bucket List sucks.

Not only is the acting mediocre, the plot ridiculous (like two people dying of cancer being able to skydive) and the direction absent, but the movie actually has the insolence of trying to tell people what the meaning of life is. (Apparently it's to befriend a billionaire and have him pay for all of your adventures.)

I thought it was fun to watch.

The Elephant Man - 8/10

Very sad film.

P.S Whoever played Anthony Hopkins wife was a milf btw

The Machine Girl
8/10

Just wow at this movie. Blood everywhere, cheezy effects. It was so ridiculous that it was awesome. Nothing beats badass japanese schoolgirls.

Akira- 6/10

It's an anime, so there are some givens, like the badly translated dialogue, mouth syncing, voice acting, etc. Also the beautifully drawn environments but weird looking people.

So, uh, the main guy destroyed everything because... he was made fun of as a kid? Or because he was trying to find the Akira guy? Hell, I understood the subplots better than the main plot. The retro-bike gang versus the modern bikes, the people thinking that Akira (who apparently started WWIII?) was some sort of messiah, and that Tetsuo was the second coming. It wasn'treally that it was confusing, just none of it seemed to be explained adequately.

Also, I saw Les Claypool was in the credits working on sound.

and yes, I am being critical because I keep hearing all these people obsessed with this movie. This is the first time I've seen it.

Young People ****ing.

I didn't want to see this. My girlfriend made me. I thought it would be just softcore porn but it was actually pretty funny and at times completely messed up.

8/10

8/10

Every time I see this post all I can think of is kids in sandbox.

The Mist - 8/10...

Still awesome and insanely creepy.
Those ****ing spiders give me chills.

^That movie was awesome as a sci-fi horror flic.

Die Hard: 3 - One complete LOL. Would be nothing without Samuel L. Jackson

Be Kind Rewind - 3/10

Stupid movie. Turned it off about halfway through, not a smile on my face throughout the entire ordeal.

It gets 3 points for having the Ghostbusters theme.

Wasn't it basically just two guys remaking movies that somehow got erased by one of them because he was somehow magnetized? :|
In which case wouldn't the remade movies in turn become erased too because the guy's magnetized???

Looked stupid as hell either way.

The Incredible Hulk - 8.2/10...
Awesome, 100x better than Ang Lee's piece of shit.

MGS4 7/10

Good movie, but I didn't really like those interactive parts where you played thorugh it.

Forgot I saw this a little while ago.

Gets a 8/10 from me. Far from perfect, but it retains that basic innocence and creativeness that makes Gondry's stuff always worth watching. It's also got a ton of movie-geekiness slipped into it.

Definitely, Maybe - 8/10.

It's a chickflick. It's a pretty decent chickflick. It's a pretty funny decent chickflick. It's a pretty funny decent chickflick with a story that isn't so ****ing predictable it makes you want gauge out your eyes!

The beast with a billion backs - good/10

I liked it a lot more then the first. Though most people I know think the opposite.

About a boy - pleasant surprise/10

Rambo - 7.9/10...

A bit slower than the other movies but I'll be damned if the action didn't deliver.
Also, the gore almost managed to make me a little sick.

El Orfanato - 8/10

I enjoyed it, pretty scary in a few scenes and very intelligent screenplay. Spanish cinema is really doing well nowadays, so much talent.

Spider-Man 3 - 1/5 (You really shouldn't pay your money for this crap)

Some funny soap opera.Reminds me of Brasilian ones.
"Oh,look - Don Henry lost his memory!"
"It's okay,I'll try to look clever and figure it out....oh,crap,I can't! I'll cry instead..."
"Oh,look - some ultra-dimensional black thing took Don Pedro and made him look like emo!"
"It's okay,he looks like that all the time."
"Oh,I don't love you anymore!I love Don Henry. He is so cute!"
"No!How can I forgive you?You betrayed me!"
"No!"
<Crying.>

I know it's a comic movie and the first two parts weren't awesome..but at least they were good.Acceptable,I might say.Low-grade story.I think every character reckons he lost 5 minutes for nothing if he doesn't says to Peter some wisdom words.Instead of a good battle and bang-bangs with spider webs like in the first movie, they use slow retelling, flashbacks and... tears.Lots of tears.Oh,and most of the actors are really terrible.

Die Hard: 3 - One complete LOL. Would be nothing without Samuel L. Jackson
Oh,I don't think so.A good movie compared to the second one.Interesting.

The Fifth Element - 8.9/10...

Awesome, a sci-fi classic.

Sweeny Todd: 7/10
It was alright.

The Bucket List: 8/10
Surprisingly good.

Dan In Real Life: 9/10
Fantastic.

I thought the fith element was one of the shittest films I've ever seen.

It started okay, but then pigs and shit came into it and it was ridiculous and boring.

Awful film/

It thought it was decent. Enjoyable not amazing. Although I liked gary oldman in it :)

I ****ing loved fifth element. I thought it presented a really rich, unique and quirky sci-fi
universe. Besides that it was full of unexpected funny moments, I liked that , it keeps
me off balance and in the grip of the movie.

Greatest buddy i think we can only resolved this by a majority vote of the Comintern.

Assemble the Politburo
