Spore site updated, and official specs!

You look like a Pokemon.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind dropping $10 on the full featured creature creator.

They all look like Pokemon.

Hm, I'm totally going to make a creature that looks like a marijuana leaf.

What're the odds that it gets released on Steam.

It wasn't really a question, more of a general hope. I'd buy the creature creator if it were released on Steam.

There are other advantages to Steam other than downloading it.

I bought it from the EA Store, but I decided on the physical copy. I just don't like EA's downloading service.

If it was on Steam on the other hand... :)

I'm surprised how... normal the requirements look. I'd have expected higher memory usage (though I still expect more memory will be better.

Also, with everything procedural, I really wonder what they use those 6 GB for. An art team for a traditional game could fill that up easily. If really basing everything on procedural techniques, filling that much is a feat. Maybe it uses that much diskspace as a cache to keep startup and load times reasonable.

Why the **** is there an Extended Download Service thing that costs more money? Companies should do that shit for ****ing free, like Valve does with Steam.

Because EA = Evil Assholes, they're greedy bastards, simple as.

Wait, they charge for their download service?

Well fuck them, then! I think I'll purchase from the store, just to spite them.

Damn it, I want to play with this so badly.

Looking at the Sporepedia, it seems others who aren't Maxis (a few of which are noobs) have gotten hold of the creator now. I wonder how? Also, they really should have some of the creatures that Will Wright made in the demo vids.

I noticed people from EA got their hands on it. Or they could be playtesters or something...

You have the option to block certain creatures from being in your game. Awesome, now I won't have to put up with any of you guys's pornographic immaturity.

Sounds good save the 6 gigs, means one or two of my games are going to have to get deleted off my HD, and I hate un-installing games, even if I don't play them, because it leaves me stranded if I suddenly get the urge to play sometime down the line and it isn't there.

Dude it's all natural and good!

I remember seeing the dong monster some where I'll have to find it for you

Man, even with a job and everything, this week is going by so slow because I'm psyched to be able to play around with the damn creature editor.

DAMN YOU MAXIS AND YOUR WONDERFULLY PERSUASIVE TRAILERS AND STUFF!

Haven't been this pumped since I saw the E3 Half-Life 2 gravity gun test thing.

Yeah I know how you feel xlucidx!

I got four games coming out before the end of this month and the waiting is unbearable.

Looks like it's all over the interwebs. If you know where to look...

That's not mine. Just found it on the sporepedia.

Anyways, I have the trial version, but I really don't want to play it until I get the full version because 75% of the content missing just sucks! So many question marks showing me what I can't do.

I made a Penguin-like creature. With spikes. Everywhere.

I saw a Easter Island head creature somewhere...

So are we allowed to register with the trial version, and not get punished?
