At the moment, I'm enjoying some Guinness. Earlier it was a Trout Slayer ale, followed by some Crown on the rocks, and then some Johnnie.

This is a drunk post.

I don't really drink anything.

I had some kahlua... as well as some irish cream liquor a while back though... each one mixed with milk. the kahlua making a sombrero and the irish creme im not sure...

I like stuff that tastes good. Most alcohol gives me an instant headache. Those, surprisingly, didn't.

Dark, dark, dark. Common lagers are so boring. I don't really have a set of favourites because everywhere I've been serves vastly different stouts/porters/whathaveyous.

I enjoyed the only BC-made (afaik) eisbock on the holidays back when I could afford it.

I would never waste good beer to get drunk though. Leave that to cheap, low quality spirits.

Diesel. Not the pussy drink. The fuel.
That or Rom and coke. ****ing delicious. I also enjoy whisky. And a couple different coffe drinks. I'll probably not drink anything untill new years though... And even that will probably be pretty civilized with some beers and maybe a drink.

Orange juice and milk.

I'm not a fan of alcohol, I drink it very rarely and have never been drunk.

When I occasionally drink alcohol it is most often some brand of Smirnoff vodka.

Diet coke.

And chardonnay if I'm lucky.

Not together though.

As far as alcohol goes, the only thing i've enjoyed so far is Crown Royal. I've only tried nasty american beer.

My choice of non-alcohol drink is sweet tea. Always. All day. 4 lyfe.

Mostly just mixers or girly drinks. Bourbon and coke is my go-to. Don't do beer.

Rum in various forms, tequila, sometimes some vodka, pear cider.

As far as alcohol is concerned. I don't drink.

Otherwise, probably Coca-Cola most of the time.

Is it just because I'm really sleepy, or does this not make any sense?

:p

EDIT Well I guess it does. I don't drink alcohol. Of the things I drink, it's probably Coca-Cola most of the time.

You would like what I've got in for Christmas. I mail ordered a small crate of two kinds of seriously heavy stout from De Molen, a Dutch brewery, called 'Rasputin' and 'Hel & Verdoemenis' ('Hell & Damnation').

The bottles are all individually numbered, dated, sealed with wax and good for 25 years :O They have been lucky to last 25 hours with me because they are yumtiddlyumptious.

I also ordered some of an American dark seasonal ale, Goose Island's 'Mild Winter', and that's turned out to be very tasty too.

Lidl's are also doing deals on Shepherd Neame stuff so I had been drinking these before all that:

And finally, my uncle got me a bottle of the good stuff which I couldn't help unwrapping early:

Water.
All day.
Erry day.

Buuuuuut, I do almost always have a bottle of Baileys in the house and will have a glass every now and then.

Well, if I have to drink, I prefer rice wine. Or Vodka/Soju with coke.

I'll try pretty much whatever is offered to me (except tequila, **** tequila).

But I have a particularly like me some Irish Whiskey and if I'm drinking beer I'll generally go for (depending on my mood) Heineken, Carlberg or Corona.

Water and orange juice. I have an occasional soda if I'm in the mood.

Pepsi and Smirnoff. I also like a nice rose wine or red wine. My all-time favourite wine is Blossom Hill White Grenache.

I wouldn't trust much to a man who doesn't drink.

Myself, I've been awake for the past 24 hours straight, was working last night on the night shift and decided to just power through the say. Now settling into my first drink in quite a few days, well earned. Got a Glenkinche 12year with water on the side and a bottle of stella to help wash it down. Very pleasant way to relax.

Drambuie is the loveliest thing. I've found it quite difficult to get hold of, though.

I like wine, white for preference, with food or as a reliable companion for a house party; whiskey when it's necessary. But in all honesty, I'm a cider man (and be hanged with those who believe this combination of words produces an oxymoron). A pint's the thing. A good amount, drunk slowly enough to come on gradually. You know what it'll do to you, know how many you want. It's my blessing that I'm equally happy with piss-poor Strongbow if it's the only thing I can find as I am with the nicer, rarer ciders I seek in nicer, rarer pubs.

How is this stuff? My cousin bought one for his father's xmas present. He wasn't sure if it would be good though, he kind of bought it on a whim because it has a sweet case.

I pretty much only drink liquor and mixed drinks, I don't have a taste for beer at all.

My preference is bourbon... my go-to standby drink is whiskey and coke. If I'm drinking cheap stuff like Evan Williams or the like I usually mix it, if I have something nicer (Wild Turkey or some nice scotch or canadian) I like to drink it straight on the rocks. I drink a fair amount of rum too, I like the Captain Morgan's 100 proof and Sailor Jerry's (yeah I'm a spiced dark rum fag) and my favorite rum ever was One Barrel, a Belizean rum made with molasses that is absolutely delicious. Right now I have some Myers' Jamaican rum.

Unless I'm drinking my grandparent's nice scotch, I don't usually spend more than about $50 on a handle... my upper limit is stuff like Maker's Mark and Jack. I love my whiskey.

Guinness isn't too bad, Yuengling too. Any vodka is good, and I've also overcome my hate for wine somewhat (apparently, the type matters!)

I like beer, and I like it A LOT. I don't get wasted anymore, just to the point where I may stumble once or twice, then I generally eat dinner or something and then enjoy some entertainment. But lately, I mostly just drink water, tea, and coffee. I plan to quit coffee one day.

I used to drink every day. I think once you are an alcoholic, you will always be an alcoholic, but you will just be in deprivation that becomes easier and easier to manage as time goes on. So, with that in mind, I've been a little concerned, and trying to spend my money more responsibly (you know, bums seem to all be alcoholics). Anyway, I've only had 3 drinks in the past few months. It wasn't easy at first, and I would love some alcohol, but I'm not freaking out (I am kind of drooling as I read through the thread though).

I also quit tobacco about 10 days ago (for the second time in my life). That shit is like heroine... you've seen the withdrawal in movies? It's absolutely miserable, nearly insufferable. The tobacco at the store seems to be saying "I can make this all go away".

I don't have as much of a taste for whisky as I have for beer so I'm no authority, but afaik Glenfiddich is among those at the top of the heap as far as the widely sold whisky brands go. Specialist stores and distilleries probably have superior offerings but it's the same with anything. It's very smooth on the palate and only the snootiest of drinkers would not be chuffed to receive a bottle. I certainly feel a pang of guilt that my uncle got me a bottle since it's €40 here compared to €17-20 for a bottle of Jameson, but the difference is there to taste.

I'm most of the way through my first bottle of that Hel & Verdoemenis stuff and my lips are sticking together with how thick it is. The bottom of the glass is caked with scary looking sediment. Love it.

Man, The Kraken is great. I mean, I've only ever drank Captain Morgan rum before, and I like it fine, but this was much better.
