Worst game(s) you ever paid good money for?

One of the worst games I've bought was Halo 2. It was like Halo 1, but a lot worse. Pretty much all of the levels were inside, and it was dumb. You can tell Bungie that they just lost a customer for Halo 3.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the Halo series is terrible.

I thought most people did.

I'm with you by the way. Bleah, so bland and plain. Cept the colors, there's too much of that.

Right, that's way Halo 2 sold 8 million copies.

Update to my previous bad games:

Red Steel. Oh God Why did I trust my best friend who said it was good. Oh god why?

On the plus side I got it for ?15 on ebay maybe I can get a profit if I trade it in at gamestation. I want to get trauma center second opinion anyway.

It was hyped to be the killer app from day one. After Halo's success, Xbox gamers would have accepted even a mediocre sequel, only mildly better than the first.

But somehow Bungie managed to actually remove the best elements of Halo 1 till a pile of reused levels and subpar gameplay was all that was left. They even broke the multiplayer with the plasma sword.

It was a cool concept but the implementation was lacking imo.

I liked how it was all in Russian though :D

  • Doom 3: It's damn obvious, isn't it?
  • MVP Baseball 2005: The controls were so infuriating.
  • The original Ghost Recon.
Just some additional ones.

Wait kami, don't you live in Canada?

Vut? No, are thinking of that dude in hl2world?

Perhaps I should ask a moderator if he can change mah name. When I made this name, it just came to me; But I don't recall how I came up wth it, but then I was reminded when I went to hl2world one time do I remember where I got it from. Now it was too late, and people are getting me confused with someone else. My utmost apologies for the confusion.

I should clear-up that the fact that I hate Halo, I hate it with all my heart, but that doesn't change the fact that it sells very well.

Give me your adress so I can come over and murder you.

I didn't like it because I never got past the first level. :(

But then my next sequence was MOH:AA (I loved playing Stalingrad rifle's only servers), then I went to Battlefield 1942! :D

Doom 3 was scary enough. It didn't overdue the fear like F.E.A.R. and felt more like a ten hour Ravenholm. Repetive, yeah, but a good game.

I still have to beat the first mission of Ghost Recon.

OH AHD BTW I BOUGHT BIOSOCK OVER STREAM AND I DIDNT GET TO PLAY I MEAN WTF

I've never really liked the Ghost Recon series as they're always over too quickly. I've never bought these games but I've rented them and I only need to rent them for 2 days to complete it. Waste of a weekend to be fair. And the online gameplay for GRAW2 is so crap...

I would say the worst game I ever played was Final Fantasy XI. A friend of mine introduced me to it and I was instantly hooked. Thankfully, I got my copy free from my friend (who had accidentally ordered two). I think I played the game for just about three years straight before I finally quit. There were plenty of fun times to be had but the end-game and attempting to complete the Chains of Promathia expansion made me more miserable and nasty than I've ever been in my life. Now I just wish I could get all those play hours back. I think I had something like 250 days logged in when I quit.

V-Man on the worst game he payed good money for

I think you all know this one.
I had bought Half Life 2 retail and then bought the classic pack or whatever it was called. I though "It's not complete without Counter Strike Anthology Pack".
Good God.
Counter Strike 1 was outdated and was useless.
Counter Strike Condition Zero had a pitiful "singleplayer" game, and the community as we all know sucks because it's a Counter Strike game.
Deleted Scenes was one of the worst single player experiences I've ever had, even if it wasn't a complete one.
Counter Strike Source though is really just having the same crappy Counter Strike community, only now with added porn sprays that make you want to puke.

Then there was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Melee...
Don't even ask about that one just look at the reviews.
