what's hl2.net's favorite genre? mines, mainly. metal, alternative, and industrial. discuss hl2.net :farmer:

Electronic.

Saying electronic encompasses so many genres, it's stunning.

Acid DnB IDM Ambient Breakbeat, and most anything similar to them. Like Qonf said, "electronic" is too broad a word.

Hard rock, hip hop, reggae, and whatever the Hell NIN is classified as.

Awesome.

Used to be alternative rock until a few months ago, now it's metal.

Click the link in my signature. I don't know what you'd call what I listen to. I don't think about genre much.

:D ....Uplifting, Progressive and Hard Trance!!!

ANYTHING BY ID&T!!!

I don't care about genre. I just listen to music.

I mostly listen to electronic stuff, but genre doesn't matter, I like anything that sounds good to my ears :D

I tend not to care much for song lyrics...but if the singer has a really neat voice or interesting melody to the lyrics, then I might like it for the sound alone.

Ex. The Mars Volta, really neat to listen to. I have no clue what they're saying though, ever.

Also, I don't really like listening to music while doing other stuff, if I'm gonna listen to something I usually give it my full attention.

Alt/prog rock and metal mostly. That sort of thing.

I dabble in other stuff. I try not to restrict myself by genre - I always delete it from the ID tags whenever I rip something cause it's always so subjective. One time I got album information from freedb, and in genre it just had the band's name. I LOL'd.

Main love is for Stoner Rock, however I do enjoy Metal/Progressive/Blues/Alt. and a bit of DnB :D

Bit of Ska punk, pop punk. And whatever MSI is.

Rock and indie only. That includes all the different types of rock.

Yeah same here...

My favorite genres: Hard Rock, Metal, Industrial, Alternative, Ambient, Trance, House, Techno, Acid

I mainly like songs without lyrics maybe that's why I'm a big fan of movie and game soundtracks.

I like hard rock/metal from the 70's to early 90's

all kinds of rock (mainly Punk, Indie and Alt), Electronic/Techno (anyone know any good artits btw?), alittle country (VERY little.), some hip-hop, Experimental, pretty much everything that isn't a smash radio hit. . .

I prefer music, I don't like generalizing stuff.

Instrumental/post-rock... and movie soundtracks. Sometimes, a little ambient.
