Minecraft = Love

Well I just bought this, figured out the wooden and therefore every other pickaxe which was my major hurdle. Any mods to stop respawning but have the game with a single stock of enemies? I like having a "Green Zone"

I picked up Minecraft again the other day, and today I realized that I lost four hours somewhere from my day. I built an automated mob-destroyer.

Postin' 'cause I luff mah squid. <3

all of my love

not that I play mc anymore

Not sure if you're still having trouble with this, but if you wall in an area and then cover it with torches to raise the light level, mobs won't spawn.

MAPS!!! thats the greatest thing ever. There were so many times I got lost while exploring or couldn't find cool stuff a second time.

Multiplayer netherworld? Maybe I'll actually finally see netherworld.

EDIT: oh, this is old.

Yeah. Plus saying "pistons on pistons" sounds like a gay thing, so there's that.

If sticky pistons can hold other pistons then elevators are go!

Also, being as I'm posting in this thread, I may as well add some Minecraft substance. Here's one of my villages (The 1st one I ever built so it's nothing majorly spectacular but still, I like it). If I can find space for a Tavern then it'll be pretty much complete. Some general views:

I also found a nice big natural shaft (lol) so I did a bit of carving in it and built some condos (They go into the walls so are bigger than they look):

My other village is a little hotter.

Damn, that's pretty cool.

More geographical features like this would really rekindle my interest in exploring.

You also get to see a strange blue light in the background on the floor of the ravine ... I wonder what is casting it....

Edit: Wait, no that's water lit up by torches. Never mind.

Hmm, I expect to be getting back into minecraft soon if more features like this come out.

Made me think of 127 hours for some reason. Looks kinda like Blue John Canyon.

Ha, I'd love to see a complete remake of that movie in Minecraft machinima.

Oooohhh, ravines. I like it.

P.S. - Second village. Built it into a desert mountain. It's bigger than it looks here.

He's getting married, bless. If Notch is a smart guy, he has signed a prenup.

You know I don't know why I even have notch's blog in my RSS any more, every time he ****ing breathes on there every news site is all over it anyway.

So, imbuing items. XP. My friend and I got a lucky seed and found a great way to farm it.

What's the best item any of you have made so far? Anybody managed a level 40+?
