FEAR: Perseus Mandate - 5/10
This is the medicore bits of FEAR stretched out over a whole game with some pretty useless aditions. The new enemies are generally copies of the old ones with more health (and a different type of rifle!) and some of the enemies from the original are implemented really badly, especially the replecant assassins. Whoever Sierra hired to do this expansion, they really suck at atmosphere. The horror elements that were great in FEAR are done really badly in this game and make no sense in the overall story (which there really isn't much of, in this game). Also, a large part of the game is about recovering a DNA sample, which glows green. WTF?

Bought the Metal Slug Anthology for PS2. The artwork and action are unrivaled among old-skool 2D platform/action shooters. Though arcade purists wouldn't like the fact that it gives players unlimited continues with no option to change to "classic" coin-op difficulty mode. I give it a 9.5. Pure old-skool awesomeness.:E

Commandos 2 - 10/10

One of the greatest RTSs ever, been a long time since I have played it but still its one of the most satisfying games I have played.

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends - 7.5/10

Good game, I enjoy it alot, but the first is still a bit better.

YES!YES!YES!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that the modern dayish turn-based game with a team of mercenaries?

I haven't played Commandos 2 in years, but I can vouch for its sheer awesome.

CoD4-10/10
incredible,well-crafted,infinity ward=win,CoD4=Epic Win

I could've bought Commandos 1, 2 and 3 in a value pack today for $20, but I've already got 1 and 3, so I didn't do it.. I also could've bought #2 for PS2 for $20, but I'm sure it'd suck on anything other then PC, I mean.. It's Commandos..

Instead I bought Bioshock for $40 (XBOX 360)

I think it's a pretty good game, I like Telekinesis and incineration, in fact, fire is my best friend.. I just hate how there is water everywhere, it sucks for fire.. It has tons of similarities to System Shock 2, which is why it's called a spiritual successor, I guess. I'd still prefer a SS3, though. Bioshock is awesome, water is cool in the game (looks pretty..). So far I'm only just at the start of Neptune's Bounty, and am enjoying all of the game thus far.

Bioshock - 8.9/10

And since I mentioned it..

System Shock 2 - 9.5/10

It's still awesome.

Crysis:

Only computer game made in 2007 that runs smoothly on my 2004 laptop. Therefore, it is a 5 out of 5.

Ahhh Commandos 2. The Bridge over the River Kwai mission still stands as one my greatest levels ever made in any game. It was so awesome. It even had rideable Elephants!!

World In Conflict - 10/10

Explosion. Porn.

Its like nothing ive ever played. Singleplayer ramps up the difficulty and sheer size of the conflicts slowly, but multiplayer is just SO fast with lots of people. You may be forced to play as infantry or air or tanks etc, but theres SO much going on to keep your mind boggled.

***king epic win. And no resource management! GENIOUS!

The Witcher:- 9.8/10

Great RPG game, takes a little while to get into but overall very rewarding. It's a little on rails at the end, but well worth whatever it costs in local currency to purchase. It suffers a little in the translation and it is a little buggy on Vista, but nothing too drastic.

Commandos 2 is considered the best of the series by a long way, 3 apparently was quite pants.

I only played the PS2 version of C2 and it was great, they really did a good job making the control scheme work on the PS2 pad.

Commandoes 3 was dire, dont get it lol. Strike Force shouldn't even be considered apart of the series, why they went with an FPS idea I will NEVER know.

Final Fantasy X-2 8/10
I know some people are gonna flame me for this but i liked it. The light hearted fun seeing the events after FFX.Some of the missions were fun

Call of Duty 4 - 10/10
Loved every second of it and i think it has to be my most favorite game of the year. The atmosphere ,difficulty and story were all perfect.I also like the various types of combat from attacking from the air to sneaking and assassinating. The game felt like an action movie

was the single player THAT short? That's what I hear.

It's not that short at all really.

I mean unless you're a hardcore marathon gamer who plays a single game nonstop. I've had it since the 24th and I just now got to the third act.

Played in 3 hour sessions, I'll definitely be replaying it that's for sure.

Yeah its not short, although the first I think were slightly larger. I completed it in about three days of getting it.

Live For Speed - 10/10

Even though I fight it out for 3rd+ place since the guys online are gods with manual transmission and good car setups.

Age of empires 3 - 8/10
good, but the campain isnt much. its no aoe2, but its still great fun to play skirmish(love the physics)

I completed it on a 2 night hireage. That was between getting to rank 15 or so on multiplayer before I actually bought it. Yes, I was playing it pretty much the entire 2 days, but the single player couldn't have lasted more than 6-8 hours.

That said, most of the longevity from the campaign will come from trying to pass it on hardened and veteran - somewhat challenging. :|

Edit - Oh yeah...

Advance Wars: Dual Strike - 8/10

My kinda strategy. Just the right mix of depth, simplicity, pace and action. Most of all it's just damn fun. :D

are you kidding me? the SP was VERY short, I played it all the way through in one sitting

How?. There is no way i can sit there playin a game for hours i usally get bored or tired, it took me 3 days to complete

me too, but I was having a blast so I basically just kept playing until it was over. It still took about 7 or 8 hours.

I had to cut it up into several different sessions because of the repetition, and the sheer number of enemies became frustrating at times when I couldn't find proper cover (do they really have to start firing as soon as you pop out?). That and the awesome multiplayer was keeping me away. :)

That's not short for a CoD game at all. :p

CoD4-10/10
Brilliant ****ing game really. Short single player but the missions are perfectly pulled off, lots of variation, constant intensity. Like playing an action movie.

Some people here are making me want to play Commandos 2 again. I loved it, it was very fun, but I stopped playing completely when I let a friend of mine play the first tutorial level, he quicksaved over my original save (I told him not to quicksave). I was very mad :flame:. Well I stopped on "White Death" or whatever it was called. Now that Dynasty mentioned the Bridge over the River Kwai mission I want to play again because I was so close... That game was so awesome. I never uninstalled it, even when I stopped playing.

Thank you guys you convinced me to play again!

I don't know if you were talking about 2 different games here or not.. Strike Force is NOT Commandos 3, it's Commandos 4.

Commandos 3: Destination Berlin is/was a good game, imo. I still think the first one is best, and have yet to play #2, and I'll never play Strike Force, but as it stands 3 is a good game..

I really want to play #1, but for some reason it doesn't work.. It gets to the main menu, and the second I move the mouse it crashes..

I never said Strike Force was Commandoes 3, I was refering to two different games, both were dire.

I agree. Commandos 3 removed all the hotkeys from the previous game and was just shit in general compared to 2. I think it might've been locked to a lower resolution than 2 aswell even though it was a newer game.

I think Commandos 2 changed all hotkeys too. I have never played Commandos 3 but they always change hotkeys. They even changed all hotkeys in the expansion of the original game. That was very frustrating. The Commandos 2 tutorial missions were also very stupid and didn't teach anything, they were quite hard and you had to learn everything by yourself.

Just played bioshock. Good story, neat characters, cool enemies, but had sucky ending and boss fight. WOuld've been cooler if he fought against you with two big daddies. Then it might've been considered "fun". 9.1. Also played Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Pretty good, but boring at times. 8.9.

Warioware: Smooth Moves - :imu:/10

Easily the most bizarre game I've played in... probably ever. Damn. Pass the crack, Intelligent Systems.
